WordPress is of course an awesome blogging script but there’s a
serious flaw in its pinging system which can make your blog

your blog might have been banned and you don’t even know about
it.

It will not ping when you edit or update a post.

5 New Guerilla Marketing Techniques

Guerilla Marketing is defined by MarketingTerms.com as: “Unconventional marketing intended to get maximum results from minimal resources.” The idea is simple: be creative and get your business out there on a very low or non existent budget.

There are a wide variety of guerilla marketing strategies out there just search the forums or go to www.gmarketing.com or visit the marketing section of one of our sites such as: www.webresourceshop.com to learn more. Below I have described 5 lessor discussed strategies that will help bring awareness to your product or services using the Web that will only cost you your time.

1) Google Base This is a beta release of Google’s classified ad system. They will host the ad and bring back search results to potential visitors of your site. The cost to you is only a few minutes of your time, knowing Google the potential will grow with time. To place a classified ad with Google Base go to: http://base.google.com/base/default

2) Google Video This is also a beta release from Google. Basically the application allows anyone to upload video and Google then adds the video to their video search engine. There are no restrictions on the size or content of the video except that it cannot be pornographic. You can add meta data to the video and include a link to your Website. Consider creating a promotional flash or Powerpoint demonstration of your product or services and uploading it to Google Video. To view Google Video go to: http://video.google.com/ or to learn more about uploading your video go to: https://upload.video.google.com/.

One inexpensive flash creation product is ScreenFlash ( www.unflash.com ). You can download a 30 day trial version and create your video with no cost other than your time.

3) Forums and Google Groups II In a way this is an oldie but a goodie. Go to forums and groups that discuss topics surrounding your business and offer advice. It is important to make sure that your advice is valuable and you are not just responding to get your url in the post. People will get to know you as the expert and will click through to your site. At the end of the post include your name and Website address.

4) Free Press Release Press releases are nothing new but free press releases on the Web are something to consider. I have submitted several Press Releases at PRWeb.com, their url is: www.prweb.com. Each time the release results in a phone call from a prospect. You can pay as little as nothing to as much as you want for this service.

5) Add a Blog to your site Blogs are all the rage these days. It seems that everyone has a blog. The benefit to you adding a blog to your site is that you can offer tidbits of useful information back to your audience, include adsense ads (small additional revanue) and improve your search engine listings. I use blogger. To open a free Google Blogger account go to www.blogger.com.

While these guerilla marketing strategies might not launch your business into the stratosphere they are sure to help give you a marketing edge. The cost to you is only your time.

7 Tips for Choosing the Right Blog Software for Your New Blog

Choosing the right blog software for your new blog requires that you ask yourself some questions and make a list of all of the features and tools you need as well as your budget. Once you have this information written down you will be prepared to start shopping for blog software. However, keep in mind the following seven tips for choosing the best software for you.

Tip #1 Ping Updates These allow you to update your blog and are very important in blog software. Make sure the blog software you are interested in provides automatic ping updates.

Tip #2 Comments Whatever blog software you choose, you’ll want to make sure that it has an area for comments from visitors. This will help you understand what is successful in your blog and what is not, as well as guide you in future blogs. This is a really great tool and should be part of your blog software.

Tip #3 Trackback If you are discussing your blog on another blog, or simply adding information to another blog, trackback will allow you to update this information. This is a little confusing, but trackback allows you to talk on your blog about information on another blog and ping the writer of the other blog to let them know what is going on. Trackback is certainly a feature you want in your blog software.

Tip #4 Pingback Pingback is similar to trackback, but it just sends a URL to the other blog to let them know you are talking about their blog on your blog. This is not used as much as trackback, but you will want a blog software that has at least one of these two functions. Tip #5 Web-based The point of a blog is you can post information instantly online, so you want your blog software to be similar to a word processor and web based without a shadow of a doubt.

Tip #6 Archiving You want a blog software that supports archiving, and most of them do. The reason for this is you will want to save all of your past blogs by the date they were published and archiving allows you to do that.

Tip #7 Categorize Another great tool you will want in your blog software is the ability to categorize. You want to keep your blogs organized and in categories, if you have them, so this option is really a great one for most bloggers.

There are lots of types of blog software available. You just need to do the research and compare what you find with what you need and then… start blogging!

How To Build An Adsense Empire Using Private Label Right Articles

By Stephanie Hetu

Private label right articles are hot at the moment. Why? And how they can help you increase your Adsense revenues?

PLR articles are sold as content you can call your own. This usually mean you can rework it, you can repackage it into an ebook and sell it, you can use it as is on your site and sign as if you wrote it yourself, etc. The only thing you can’t do is to submit it to various article directories for backlinks. Overall, PLR articles great for webmasters because they can save a whole lot of money with them!

Think about this for a moment: ONE good article can cost you anywhere from 10$ to 20$. If you are an Adsense junkie like I am, you probably create a few new Adsense websites each month, and you pay big bucks for fresh optimized content that will bring you in decent Adsense revenues. So, a few dozens articles each month can easily cost you $500 to $1000!

By using PLR articles instead, you can pay a fraction of the price and get tons of content for new sites.

There is a trick though. If you just take PLR content and publish it AS IS, you will not be able to get good rankings in the search engines for it. But, if you modify them just a bit, you can get fresh content for pennies.

Now, how do you use it to create a little Adsense Empire? Here are a few steps to follow:

1. Find a profitable Adsense niche.

2. Select the highest paying keywords in the niche you found.

3. Select the best SEO keywords in this niche (the easiest words you can get good ranking for).

4. Find optimized PLR articles for your keyword list.

5. Build the site.

6. Submit the site to directories for backlinks.

7. Publish articles for reprint on other sites to get tons of backlinks.

8. Add a few articles each month in order to grow your site with fresh content.

9. Start a new site!

And if you have access to a good collection of private label rights articles, you can use them to do exactly that: build new Adsense sites each months! You will save a lot of time.

To get the best out of the PLR articles, you must modify them a minimum to make them your own. This way, you will be able to get the best of both world : optimized content for your Adsense site unique content that will allow you to rank well in the search engines!
